Kate lives with her family on a horse farm just outside of Durham. She enjoys spending time with her dogs and horses and also coaches western riding lessons.
Kate began her career as a dog groomer in 2004 by volunteering at Ardiel Animal Hospital. She immediately was drawn to the grooming salon in the clinic and spent a year apprenticing under their groomer. Kate went on to work at the hospital as their main groomer for 10 years. She also gained valuable experience working in other animal hospitals and pet salons before deciding to take the leap and open her own salon. It has been a long time dream of Kate’s to own a grooming salon and Bath & Biscuit came from dream to reality in January 2016.

Cody on the farm
Harley started working at Bath & Biscuit in June 2016 as an apprentice groomer and bather. She now specializes in grooming many of our large breed dogs. Harley grew up on a farm and has always loved animals. She gained valuable experience working with all kinds of dogs in her 5 years employed at the Owen Sound Animal Shelter. Harley continued her education in the animal industry and has taken a veterinary assistant course. You may also recognize her as the new receptionist at North Wellington Animal Hospital in Mount Forest.
Cody is the lead dog here at the salon. Kate adopted Cody in 2006 from SOS Quebec Dog Rescue. He enjoys his life on the farm with his canine siblings Dezerie and Lincoln. In his younger days Cody enjoyed training in dog agility, biking and of course playing with canine friends. He is a now mature soul and offers a calming presence to the dogs that come in for grooming. Cody is always happy to make a new friend be it human or canine.
